Skin Health

Your skin health is based on three key indicators, your microbiome health, environmental health and skin traits.

Microbiome Health

Your skin microbiome is an ecosystem of trillions of bacteria living on the surface of your skin. Research shows that everyone has a unique microbial print that varies with lifestyle, environment, and skincare habits. For optimal skin health, it's important to have a diverse and balanced population of bacteria.

Skin Traits

Your skin traits refer to the surface-level characteristics of your skin. We've categorized these into five areas based on your questionnaire responses when registering your kit: moisture level, skin firmness, sensitivity response, antioxidant capacity, and pigmentation.

Environment Health

Where you live greatly affects your skin. We primarily consider the UV index in your area to gauge the impact of sun exposure. Additionally, we assess pollution levels, as high pollution can cause particles to penetrate your skin and lead to oxidative stress.

Skin Microbiome Profile

This first graph will be your Skin Microbiome Score. This gauges it’s overall balance.

Then we will review your Key Microbes. These six key bacteria have been identified to have the most impact on the skin when they are imbalanced. Your results will be compared to optimal range.

Environment

While you can't change where you live, there are steps you can take to lessen the impact of your environment on your skin. Based on your results, you can determine if you're using the necessary protection, like sunscreen and antioxidant ingredients, to defend against harmful particles penetrating your skin.
