Why You Should Be Washing Your Face ONCE a Day- At Night!

Keeping healthy, well-balanced skin is a study in balance all on its own. Mess with it too much, and you get skin that’s overly dry or overly oily, ruddy and irritated, acne-prone, or any combination thereof. Leave it without the assistance and protection of a good line of skin care products, and you may get much of the same.

When we take care of ourselves, the skin is designed to keep itself healthy on its own. Its natural oil production works to expel bacteria and dirt from pores when working optimally, as well as providing a barrier of protection and moisture.

Unfortunately, we live in a world full of atmospheric pollutants, dirt, and toxins that sabotage that process. Pollutants can penetrate pores, leaving us with skin that’s dull, suffocated, and looking for nutrients.

All that considered, it may be tempting to wash your face in the morning and in the evening to cleanse away these toxins, but washing twice a day may not be best for your skin.

Washing with a cleanser in the morning isn’t necessary if you’ve used a thorough cleanser before bed the night before. A splash of cold water is best; there’s no need to strip your skin of the natural oils it produced overnight, which provide a barrier of moisture.

In the evening, cleanse mindfully and thoroughly to remove dirt, grime, toxins, and makeup accumulated in the pores throughout the day. Cleansing pores of excess dead skin cells, excess oils and bacteria is essential to deter acne and keep the skin healthy.

Using LaFlore® Live Probiotic Cleanser in the evening returns skin to it’s clean, protected, and healthy state after a long day- and can be a relaxing way to end your day. Waking up in the morning to a beautiful, balanced glow is a great way to start it!
