LaFlore, Oily Skin

Oily Skin Still Needs Moisture!

Oily skin still needs moisture

We’ve mentioned before the wonderful questions we get from our clients and customers, and we’ve been sharing some of those questions with you here. Here’s another we think is helpful to pass on:

My skin is already oily. Are the oils in the LaFlore® products going to make it even oiler?

The skin needs hydration and moisture to be healthy- and there’s a big difference between oily and moisturized. The key to understanding this difference lies in the word hydrated

Just because your skin has plenty of oil, doesn’t mean it has enough water to hydrate properly. Lots of things break down the structure of the skin molecularly, causing it to lose moisture. Some of these including aging, too hot water, cold weather, and harsh products.

When the skin is dehydrated, it produces excess oils to attempt to balance itself. These oils may clog pores, leading to breakouts and inflammation, and many products used to treat acne contain alcohol, which also robs the skin of needed hydration.

Of course, it bears repeating- healthy, moisturized skin begins with hydration from the inside out. Drinking plenty of water and taking care to protect the skin from harsh elements is the first line of defense against dehydrated, and subsequently, oily skin. A great moisturizer is the next.

LaFlore ®’s skin-friendly, plant-derived moisturizer is carefully crafted to balance moisture levels, deliver necessary levels of hydration with no surface residue, and help end the cycle of oil overproduction.

If you don’t believe us, give it a try! Don’t skip the moisturizer when caring for your oily skin- and the reward of glowing, healthy skin will convince you!
